Global Frozen Fruit Market Reaches $75B — Thai Exporters Poised for Growth

2025-11-15

The global frozen fruit market is projected to reach $75 billion by 2027, driven by rising demand for convenient, healthy ingredients in Asia and Europe. Thailand remains the world's top exporter of premium frozen durian, with Siam Orchard expanding capacity to meet demand.

The global frozen fruit market is experiencing unprecedented growth, reaching an estimated $68 billion in 2025 and projected to hit $75 billion by 2027, according to a recent report by Grand View Research. The primary growth drivers are increasing consumer demand for convenient, minimally processed healthy ingredients, the rapid expansion of the premium ice cream and beverage sector in Asia, and growing awareness of Thai tropical fruits in European and North American markets.

For Thai exporters like Siam Orchard Harvest, this represents a significant opportunity. Thailand remains the world's largest exporter of frozen durian, accounting for approximately 65% of global supply. In 2024, Thailand exported over 800,000 tons of fresh and processed durian, with frozen and freeze-dried products accounting for a growing share.

Siam Orchard is currently completing a facility expansion that will increase our IQF processing capacity by 40% by Q2 2026. This investment positions us to meet growing demand from new partners in Germany, South Korea, and the United States.

'The market is shifting toward premium, traceable products,' says Managing Director Thanachai Charoenwong. 'Buyers are no longer just looking for the lowest price — they want quality consistency, certifications, and supply chain transparency. That's where we excel.'

The company anticipates 25% revenue growth in FY2026, driven by expansion into the European retail channel and new contracts with foodservice groups in Japan and Australia.
